4 Make sure the facility is clean and secure,

because your precious valuables may be here for

a while.

5 You have to either get a friend to help you or rent

a truck. (See why renting a truck is so much

work?)

6 Depending on the truck, you’ll probably have to

lift all those heavy things to get them in the truck

— your back remembers the last time you tried

that. Ouch!

7 Can all your stuff fi t in one load? You’ll probably

have to take multiple trips back and forth to the

mini storage.

8 Most people plan to store their belongings for

just a few months, but end up storing them for

12 months or more because it’s such a pain to

remove everything — think about those costs!
